Reservations and cancellations for Special Events are to be made by noon on the day preceding the event.
**Please remember members may dine casually outdoors during regular Dining Room hours on the west terrace or west porch. Selections from the Dining Room menu or lighter fare choices are always available**

Now through October 10 Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday

Dress Code
Jacket and ties are required in the main dining room during the evening, except Fridays when ties are optional. Blue jeans, t-shirts and sneakers are not acceptable.
Club Casual requires a collared shirt for gentlemen. A jacket or tie is not needed. Jeans are not appropriate.
Sailing attire is always appropriate for the bar, model room, front porch, and west terrace.
For special club events the invitation will note appropriate dress.
Shirts and shoes must be worn in the clubhouse and on the porch. Bathing attire is prohibited in the clubhouse and on the porch. Gentlemen are requested to remove their hats in the clubhouse.
Children should be dressed appropriately for all events following the above guidelines for adults.

Reservations Policy for Daily Dining Service
In order to offer personable service, it is necessary for reservations to be made well in advance. Seating is by availability only. The General Manager will make every effort to accommodate the membership.
Reservation Policy for Special Events
A reservation policy assists the Club management team to properly organize each event with regard to scheduling, staffing, ordering of food and beverages, and the preparation and set up for the event. The result for the Club will be better financial management of our social functions. The benefit for the membership will be greater satisfaction.
A Special Event at Seawanhaka is an event that is not a regular lunch or dinner service. Reservations and cancellations for Special Events are encouraged to be made by noon on the day preceding the event.
Special Food Orders
The Chef is happy to accommodate special diets and food restrictions whenever possible. Special requests should be placed a day in advance. If you have food allergies or other food/health issues, please notify your server.
Closing Hours
Food orders may be sent to the kitchen until 9:00 p.m. during weekday service and Saturday nights, and until 10:00 p.m. Friday nights.
Private Parties
The Membership is encouraged to make arrangements for using the Model Room, the Taft Room or the Dining Room for private luncheons, cocktail parties, dinner parties and receptions as the Club schedule permits by contacting the General Manager at (516) 922-6200.
Special Events
Special Events are scheduled for several evenings during the season. Notification will be made through the Seawanhaka Log, e-mails, and membership mailings.
