Sailing Activities: RC Model Yacht Racing

The RC Model Yacht Racing winter program is sailed Sunday mornings from November to April  will be one design racing based on the economical Thunder Tiger MRP Voyager 1/22 scale 1 Meter Racing Yacht.  This yacht can be found at a variety of internet resellers. The required radio is 75Mhz, with channel to be reserved below.  The yacht is available at Tower Hobbies or also available at eHobbies.

A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89 and 90

When we run out of Channels, the RC Model Yacht Racing Committee will address the issue of duplicate channels and race day changing of channels.

RC Model Yacht building tips:
For those that need to transport the model, if you leave the keel hull joint unglued and the gooseneck/boom ungluued, you can break the boat down to fit in the orginal box in less than 5 minutes.  Lightly sand then dust off all mating surfaces of fittings before gluing. For load bearing fittings put a bead of glue around the base of the fitting after glued.  Any other tips? Please post in the comments to be included.
