Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club is a private, member-owned yacht club located on beautiful Centre Island in Oyster Bay, New York. Since 1871, our members have demonstrated a passion for sailing and maritime history. The Club offers a variety of sailing and boating activities that include team racing, ladies sailing, PHRF racing, fleet racing, local cruising, distance racing, junior sailing and long distance cruising. We proudly host world-class regattas, social activities and events. Our Clubhouse offers fine and casual dining as well as a relaxing atmosphere to unwind after a day on-the-water or ashore. Our full-service Boatyard is available for comprehensive yacht repair and maintenance for all members and select non-member customers. The Service Dock monitors VHF Channel 10, click here for additional information. Clubhouse Reopening
As of Wednesday, June 24th, we will now be opening the West Porch as well as indoor dining in the East Porch. At this time, we will not be opening the Model Room, unless weather prohibits outdoor dining. As we are required to maintain no more than 50% occupancy for indoor dining, reservations will be required. Due to our limited capacity restraints, reciprocal dining privileges are suspended at SCYC until further notice. Please note, to be able to provide a safe and enjoyable experience, our staff are following rigorous safety procedures. This may require us to close reservations as well as cause a delay in service. Your patience is appreciated.

Safety Protocols
•  Restrooms are available at the Main Clubhouse.
•  Masks will be required when you are inside the Clubhouse, unless seated at your table.
• Masks are also required when you are entering the outdoor dining area and can be removed only when you are seated at your table.
•  Please wash your hands often and use Club provided sanitizer.
•  Congregating of any kind inside the Clubhouse is not permitted at this time.
•  At this time, the member bar is currently closed to guest access.
•  Please maintain safe distancing at all times and refrain from congregating in groups.
•  Seating areas (couches) inside the Clubhouse are not to be used at this time.
•  SCYC staff will disinfect seating areas between guests.
•  Staff will continue to undergo daily health screenings, including temperature checks at the start of each shift. Staff are required to wear masks and gloves. Staff have also been trained and will undergo continued training and monitoring on the increased sanitation and disinfecting protocols.
Dress Code
The dress code for dining in the East Porch and West Porch is Club Casual (collared shirt, slacks or shorts can be worn at an appropriate length, white jeans are acceptable, jackets and ties are not required, blue jeans are not appropriate).

Junior News
This year, the Junior Activities Committee supported the Oyster Bay/Cold Spring Harbor Protection Committee in its initiative to regrow oyster beds to provide cleaner water. Our juniors grew 1,000 oysters to maturity and put them in an oyster spawner sanctuary at the bottom of our harbor. It was the perfect opportunity to educate our juniors on the importance of respecting and protecting our marine environment.
